Quilt Trunk Show
June 14, 2008

The sanctuary was lined up one side and down the other with quilts from Sandy Underwood's collection. On the screen at the front was a continuously playing slide show of quilting escapades and trips Sandy had taken with friends and family. A luncheon was served in Criswell Hall. Also in Criswell Hall was a quilting demonstration. The event raised about $1500 for the United Methodist Women's contribution to world and local missions.

Over 60 quilts adorned the sanctuary.

Carleen Minckler donated a traditional Amish feather heart pattern, hand-quilted quilt. And the Sew 'n' Sews (quilting group) donated a 1930s Carpenter's Wheel quilt to the cause as well. (Neither are pictured here.)

The Sew 'n' Sews raise additional monies for mission by finishing quilts, usually presented as "tops only".
