What Shall I Wear, Etc.
The Olan Mills Photographer and Portrait Consultants will be at the church on your appointment day to take your family portrait for the new church family directory. Following are some suggestions to help you prepare for your sitting.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early.
- This will be a Professional Portrait, so you will want to dress appropriately. Bright harmonious and conservative clothing and contrasting colors within the family group works best.
- Adults should wear long sleeves. Children may wear any sleeve length.
- The photographer will be taking several poses. Some poses do show clothing below the waist.
- Since the backgrounds are light blue, avoid wearing light blue clothing.
Please bring the entire family even if some are not members of
the church and may not wish to be pictured in the directory. If
desired, the photographer can take separate poses of church
members for the directory and then include all family members in
poses for the family's complimentary portrait, plus any additional
portraits desired by the family.
If you have special portrait needs or wish to bring props such as:
musical instruments, children's toys, etc., please let the photographer
know and he will take some extra poses.
Please allow 60 minutes for the entire
appointment time. You will be viewing and selecting your poses immediately
on the Video Image Proofing system. You do not have to come
back to view the proofs.
If you decide to purchase portraits, Olan Mills accepts cash, check,
VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. You may also
pay 1/2 down and the balance C.O.D. when the portraits arrive at
the Post Office. The Post Office will charge for this C.0.D. service.
A packaging and handling fee will be applied to every order.
