love for the children. I greatly appreciate the continued support from the members of
the First United Methodist Church in helping to keep our outstanding school open for
our 19th year. We opened on July 21, 2005, as a Christian ministry to serve the community. We are
grateful we are still going strong. The Lord has truly blessed this Childrens Center. We are incredibly
thankful for all the families who have trusted us with their childs care and education.

The Childrens Beginning Bible Story is —Exodus 20.
This story is about Moses going to the mountain to get
the 10 Commandments from God.
Our moral teaching is: 
Let's show respect to one another. Respect is the corner-
stone of our school community. It's not just about following
rules or using manners. It's about valuing each other's opin-
ions and being open to different perspectives. Let's continue
to foster a culture of respect where everyone feels heard
and appreciated.

August was a very busy month. Many of the older
children transitioned to the elementary school. I
want to welcome the new children and families to
our classroom and program. We worked on the
letter Aa for Allie the alligator, Bb for Bubba
the bear, and Cc for Catrina the cat. In addition,
children are working hard on their conference
packet by tracing, cutting, recognizing letters
and numbers. We also wrote down the ways to be
trustworthy on the small leaf for the worship
board in the McMillen room. Children have been
collecting different leaves that have fallen from
our big tree in the backyard and observing them
under a magnifying glass to see how they are dif-
ferent yet the same. Children seem to enjoy
building ramps and structures with blocks and
Legos and being creative with how they are build-
ing them. Children enjoyed answering questions
and sharing their picture of the letter of the
week. One of our shares was a picture of birds.
In September, we will introduce the letters Dd,
Ee, and Ff. We will complete our packets and
prepare for parent-teacher conferences. Chil-
dren will explore the differences and similarities
between a square and a rectangle and mix prima-
ry colors to make secondary colors. We will dis-
cuss ways to be respectful after we hear the Bi-
ble story about Moses and the Ten Command-
ments. We look forward to meeting all of you
during conference time. Be on the lookout for the
conference signup sheet to schedule an appoint-
ment. I would love some support and help in doing
laundry, making Play-Doh, and cutting out any art
project. Please connect with me if you can help.
Thanks Swati.

Happy September, everyone. We are excited to
welcome our new friends, Julian and Kacie, to our
classroom. Last month, we learned about the col-
or yellow, the number 1, the shape of a square,
and the quality of being Trustworthy. This
month, we are eager to learn about the number 2,
the color blue, the shape of a rectangle, and the
letter recognition of A, B, and C. We will also be
learning about apples and dinosaurs, and practic-
ing taking turns with one another by asking and
waitingfor what we need. We invite you and your
families to join our school for the 

Please note that conferences to review your
childs goals will be in September 2025. Please
be on the lookout for the sign-in sheet inside
your childs classroom so that we, together,
can devise a plan of action to support your
childs growth academically, spiritually, and
developmentally. Hooray….This month is going
to be GREAT! Blessings Ms. Sibyl

This month, the kiddos will have fully adjusted
to our school routine and are enjoying exploring
friendships with one another. A blossoming of
independent skills is beginning to emerge, ac-
companied by phrases like Ill do it!Our tod-
dler room nurtures autonomy by giving them
space to try and providing support when needed.
Plus, theres a whole lot of celebration with each
step forward!
We are so grateful we were able to visit with
Goodie Bear and Scruffy this month! They sang
interactive songs and listened to stories that
taught us what it means to be trustworthy.
These lessons are echoed in the classroom, and
now we know that trustworthy means giving back
what isnt ours, handling delicate objects and
toys gently, and doing what we say we will do!
Our animal-filled classroom expanded to include
birds in the second half of the month, which the
kids thoroughly enjoyed! They showed a lot of
curiosity about bird calls, and they even got a
chance to hold real ostrich, duck, and chicken
eggs! Additionally, police cars were the talk of
the town after they had the opportunity to ex-
plore a police car with Officer Uhl, which piqued
their curiosity about community service work-
ers.
It is so rewarding to form bonds with your chil-
dren and watch them grow. If you have any
questions or would like to schedule a one-on-one
meeting, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Many blessings, Miss Alicia and Mrs. Cindy-Bo.
