Child Pilot App.
Every year, our school and the Mission Team of the First United Methodist

en's Food Pantry.” They, in turn, will buy turkeys for families in need this holiday season.

Happy Thanksgiving To all!
Ms. Swati TK Class
Hello TK Families, Happy Fall, Everyone. The chil-
dren enjoyed these various fall arts activities:
painting an apple core, leaf rubbing, and all the fun
pumpkin activities. We ended with our Pajama day
party. Thank you to everyone for bringing in a pump-
kin. We did pumpkin investigations. The children
measured how tall their pumpkins, counting the lines
on their pumpkins, and determined their pumpkins'
sizes. Moreover, we talked about the pumpkin life
cycle and the parts of a pumpkin, and we watched a
video called “Dissect a Pumpkinby Sci Show Kids,
where we learned that a pumpkin is a fruit. Lastly,
this month's focus was on Kindness. In our class,
the TK class, children showed various acts of kind-
ness and received a Kindness Card every time they
showed an act of Kindness.
For November, we will continue our fall activities
but shift our focus from pumpkins to acorns. The
sensory bin is now full of beautiful fall things like
pumpkin gems, acorns, and leaves for sorting. We
also have some hungry squirrels in the math area
who need to be fed some acorns based on the num-
ber they have printed on their tummies. We also
have alphabet acorns in the manipulatives area,
where the children match uppercase letters to low-
ercase letters. We will also spend our time talking
about what we are thankful for as we get closer to
Thanksgiving. We will hear the story of Daniel and
how he bravely let the king send him into the lions
den because he had faith that God would protect
him. I hope you and your family have a safe and
happy Thanksgiving, and I want you to know that I
are very grateful for each child and family in our
class! In love, light, and learning, Ms. Swati
Ms. Liz’s and Ms. Shirley’s Preschoolers
November is already here, and we have a
busy month ahead! This month, from November
1st to November 30th, we will be accepting online
orders for See’s Candy, and we will also be con-
cluding our “Spare Change for Turkeycampaign
on November 21st. The children have learned a
great deal during their time at
school. They are practicing taking
care of their own needs, such as
cleaning up after themselves when
snack and lunch are over. They are
also very proud to show their
peers and teachers their bubble gloves (soap
lather) while washing their hands. This month, we
will work on various art projects, including hand-
printed turkey place mats and collage art. The
children will continue practicing their cutting
skills while learning to recognize numbers and let-
ters. At group time, snack, and lunchtime, chil-
dren are learning to spell their names and other
children's names as they pick up their jobs for
the classroom job chart.
Children are showing great interest in pumpkins
and leaves. They are excited to see lizards crawl-
ing on the courtyard ledge. Children are pretend-
ing to be dinosaurs outside, making roaring sounds
as they chase each other. They are also very in-
terested in the dinosaurs in the sandbox and are
able to name most of the dinosaurs. We are
learning to be thankful for the things God has
blessed us with. This month, we will be focusing
on Faithfulness, and we will be learning about
Daniel and the Lion’s Den from Ms. Maddy while
singing the song "Jesus Loves Me." In the class-
room, we will create and color a “Faith Medallion
that students can wear. Ms. Liz
Ms. Cindy Bo and Ms. Alicia’s Toddlers
It’s that time of year when we take a moment to
remember everything we have to be grateful for!
We are especially thankful for each child and
family who shares their lives with our little pro-
gram. In October, the toddlers enjoyed exploring
pumpkins and exercising their muscles hauling
“immensepumpkins all around the classroom. We
also dove into the harvest season by talking about
how food is grown, harvested, and delivered to
grocery stores. The kids especially loved playing
with barn animals, pretending to chop wood, and
milking cows with the Barnyard Boogie! Of course,
we loved Star’s special appearance and giving eve-
ryone the chance to come up close to a real pony!
This month, the toddlers will share more about
their families and begin to understand what it
means to be thankful. The children have the op-
portunity to share their “Family Photo Boards
with their classmates. If you have not returned
your child’s board, this would be the perfect
time. Please let us know if you need a new poster
board to create your child’s family photo collage.
Remember to label the people and pets on your
board so that we can learn their names.
Unfortunately, with the approach of autumn
weather, my (Miss Alicia’s) commute to and from
Arroyo Grande on my motorbike has become too
perilous due to daylight savings, deer, heightened
winds, and the rainy season—making it too high a
risk to continue with the school. I am very sad to
announce that my last day with AGUMCC is Fri-
day, November 7th. I am so thankful to have
been part of the school for the time I had, and I
will miss the families and staff so much! It has
been such a privilege to be part of your children’s
growth and development. ~Miss Alicia
