CALL TO WORSHIP*
Family of God, we gather today to unite our voices and our lives in praise to God!
How good and pleasant it is when we live together in unity!
We gather to celebrate how God binds us together to live, work, play, and rest as the
Body of Christ!
How good and pleasant it is when we live together in unity!
We gather to remember how God has worked through us to share Christ’s love with one
another and our neighbors through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and
our witness.
How good and pleasant it is when we live together in unity!
Family of God, today we come as diverse and unique members of the Body of Christ to
learn and grow not in uniformity but in unity to love God, self, neighbor, and all creation.
How good and pleasant it is when we live together in unity! Thanks be to God! Amen.

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
OPENING PRAYER
{All] Loving God,
You have shown us Your great mercy and compassion, and we have responded to
You with faith and worship.
We have gathered here today to witness to Your compassion and love.
We are all different people and have come from different places, yet through the
gift of Your Holy Spirit, we are all known as Yours. We confess: We have not been as
generous with our love or grace as You call us to be. We have classed those who
are Your beloved children as different, as foreign, as those not worthy to receive our
love.
We have placed limits on our compassion and have been jealous of our resources.
Through this service today may we hear Your voice more clearly, calling us to lives
of extravagant generosity. May we be encouraged to share freely from our
abundance with others who need it. May the gifts and graces You have given to us
be used to witness to Your present kingdom to those You have placed around us.
And may our inclusive and expansive love bring a glimpse of You to those who need
to see You most. Amen

[All] Family of God, how good and pleasant it is when we live, when we praise, when
we weep, and when we find peace in unity together. May God bless us with the
wisdom and grace to recognize and cooperate with the Spirit who binds us together
in love, that we may grow in unity of praise now and forever. Amen.
