Shrove Tuesday 2022
March 1, 2022We celebrated Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras) today in preparation for Ash Wednesday tomorrow which begins the season of Lent.
Pancakes were traditionally eaten on this day because they were a way to use up eggs, milk, and sugar before the fasting season of the 40 days of Lent. This is particularly fitting as this event also was used to dedicate the new stoves in the kitchen!
